In March 2022 Ballerini announced that "Heartfirst" would be released April 8, 2022. The modern farmhouse Ballerini and Evans shared since November 2020 was featured in a remodeling issue of The Spruce. Bold and whimsical floral wallpaper patterns adorn many of the rooms — including some ceilings — along with plush, colorful furniture and geometric touches. The secluded lot promises some privacy for the “Half of My Hometown” singer.

Neutral Gathering Space

The star’s talent as a songwriter shines through the pages of her poetry, with powerful subject matter ranging from relationships to body image and self-love. Ballerini also designed and painted a beautiful image for the book jacket. According to All Music, Ballerini began writing songs when she was just 13 years old. By the time she was 15, Ballerini moved to Nashville in the hopes of becoming a country star.

Sliding barn doors add style while accentuating Ballerini’s country flair. For The Spruce’s first digital issue, the country singer shows off her updated space in the cover story. Ballerini gives an inside look into the sentimental décor and mature design that represents the new chapter she is stepping into since announcing her divorce from husband Morgan Evans.

The publication reported that the home, which sold for $3.95 million, went under contract with a new buyer less than three weeks later. Ballerini has been public about the role of therapy in her marriage from early on. But the two made the “deeply difficult” decision to end their almost 5-year marriage earlier this year. “With very active schedules coming up, please be mindful that we are both fragile, actively healing, and showing up the best we can,” Ballerini wrote on Instagram later that week. "We got our Christmas tree last week. So yeah, just all the stuff that we can do that's normal, we're doing."

Another wonderful, amazing artist bought it,” the “Miss Me More” crooner told podcast host Alex Cooper, People reported. Getting off of it is a daily struggle for me,” Ballerini says of her favorite spot in the living room. Although the plush sofa looks right at home now, Laurel & Wolf designer Kimberly Winthrop says getting the furniture inside the singer’s new townhouse was no easy feat. “In the end, of course, it worked out, but it was truly nervewracking as each piece went up and down the stairs,” Winthrop tells PEOPLE. But after Ballerini's divorce from fellow country musician Morgan Evans, she texted Musgraves and asked her a very important question. Ballerini recently released her debut poetry collection, Feel Your Way Through, on her website.

"I think every room I had had hot pink walls. Now, I'm a lot more neutral." Ballerini purchased her 5-bedroom modern farmhouse from the builder several years ago, and she had a "blank slate" to work with in creating her own vision for a new home. She worked with interior designer Lindsay Rhodes on the house, which she's finally showing off to fans in a new cover story for the Spruce.

The Mascot, Tennessee native reportedly purchased the home for $585,000. A pleasing layout features an open dining and kitchen area raised up a few steps off of the main living room. The 2400-square foot townhouse has four bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms.

In an interview with Stylecaster, Ballerini opened up about her battle with an eating disorder. The singer’s poem, Kangaroo, is about that difficult time in her life. She hopes that by sharing her own experiences, she can take the shame away from the disorder and encourage others who are struggling to get help.

She hired interior designer Lindsay Rhodes, whose work she had admired in friends’ homes. At 15, she and her mom left Knoxville behind, moving to a house in Franklin, just outside the state capital. “In hindsight, my life could have gone in so many different directions,” says Ballerini.

Moving into 2022, with Kelsea also undergoing a divorce now, she contacted Musgraves to ask if she would be interested in selling the home – and she agreed! When the weather is nice, Ballerini heads outside, to one of two outdoor spaces she created. She hung a twin-sized porch swing in the cozy, screened-in patio, which features a fireplace, TV, and tons of blankets and pillows.

She concluded 2021 as the "#3 most-played female artist on country radio" and CMT "Artist of the Year" in addition to picking up "Musical Event of the Year" and "Video of the Year" at the CMA Awards for the platinum-certified "half of my hometown" feat. Expanding her sphere of influence, she released her first original book of poetry Feel Your Way Through, and Dolly Parton tapped her to star in the audiobook of Run, Rose, Run. In addition, the multi-platinum country superstar was recently named the newest face of COVERGIRL.
